The U.S. passed a grim milestone on Tuesday, with the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases passing the one million mark while the death toll is up to 57,000. That accounts for about 1/3rd of the total global cases, by far the most of any country. New York state accounts for more than a quarter of U.S. cases with 250,000. According to researchers, the U.S. is still averaging between 20,000 and 40,000 new cases and 1,200 to 2,600 deaths per day. With the ‘curve’ still seemingly at its peak, is this the right time to begin re-opening parts of the U.S.? Do you think we’re headed in the right direction even if the numbers are climbing?
