Waking up to SNOW EVERWHERE and my phone telling me it’s 11 degrees isn’t cool anymore. All I can think about is what life will be like in a few months. I neeeeed the warmer vibes so I’m now speaking it into existence. While we wait for warmer weather, here are the Top 5 things we get in the 518 when the weather turns for the better. (IN NO PARTICUALR ORDER)
5. Troy’s Farmers Market – Every Saturday in the Summer downtown Troy is always lit! The Farmers Market really does attract everyone from the 518 and good luck finding parking, my advice, take an uber lol. I usually go 2-3 times a year and when I do you will find me at the Battenkill Milk tent.

4. Alive at Five Concert Series – The coolest thing about the Alive at Five series is that you get a mix of shows. One week it may be country, one week it could be hip-hop. They do a really good job of selecting music for all and its FREE! Can’t beat that.
3. Rock The Block (Cohoes) – I’m a Cohoesian so by default Rock The Block makes the cut. It’s on the rise for sure and it’s not as big as Rockin’ On The River (see below) but it’s getting there. A handful of local venders show up and LIVE music is blasting… Summer Vibes for sure

2. Pizza Cannibal Pop Ups – If you aren’t familiar with Pizza Cannibal yet you should check them out on Instagram! Their whole set up is super dope man. They take about 3/4 portable pizza ovens and pop up all over The Cap City. One week they are in Vliet, next week in Downtown Albany then in Troy. I’ve gotten to meet the owners and they are very humble and all ingredients are fresh and local. They offer a great variety of personal pizzas that you can share or not share… HA! Get ready for Pizza Cannibal Pop Ups, they are about to run the Pizza game this summer!

1.) Rockin’ On The River (Troy) – You probably seen this coming.. Rockin’ On The River has been the talk of the 518 for a few years now and it’s becoming more and more popular every year. Every Thursday downtown Troy becomes an absolute vibe and everyone gets to vibe, listen to great music, enjoy local venders and enjoy their friends / family! Although I’m working during it, I MAY have to find out a way to get there this year.
