The Most HAUNTED Spots in The Capital Region

Being from Cohoes, all you hear about is how Haunted the Music Hall is and everything about it. Today I decided it’s time to stop being a scared boy and do my research on where the most haunted spots are in the 518 and here’s what I came up with:

The New York State Capitol Building: The New York State Capitol Building in Albany is known to be one of the most haunted spots in the Capital Region. Reports of ghostly apparitions, strange noises, and unexplained movements have been reported throughout the building. Some believe that the spirits of former lawmakers and governors haunt the building, including a man who allegedly died in an elevator shaft.

The Cohoes Music Hall: The Cohoes Music Hall in Cohoes is a historic theater that was built in 1874. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former janitor who died in the building. Visitors and employees have reported hearing footsteps, doors opening and closing on their own, and strange voices. The ghost of the janitor is said to be friendly, and some even claim to have seen him cleaning up after shows.

The Historic Cherry Hill Mansion: The Historic Cherry Hill Mansion in Albany is a 1787 Georgian house that is now a museum. The mansion is said to be haunted by several ghosts, including the ghost of a former owner’s wife who died in the house. Visitors have reported seeing her apparition, as well as hearing unexplained footsteps, doors opening and closing on their own, and strange sounds.

If you know me, you know this was tortuous and I will never re-visit this blog again lol. I hope you enjoy this and let me know if you’ve ever been to one of these locations and or know anything about how haunted these locations truly are!
