Opening Day is tomorrow and I’m sure everyone is thinking about where they are going to grab a cold one and to watch the Mets win 100 games and not win a world series… Yeah, I’m still crying about it whatever. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a cold beer while watching America’s favorite pastime. If you’re in the 518 you’re in luck because there are plenty of great spots to catch a game and enjoy a brew. Here are three of the best:

The City Beer Hall – Located in downtown Albany, The City Beer Hall is a favorite among locals for watching sports. With over 20 rotating taps, there’s always something new to try, and their food menu offers plenty of tasty options to snack on while you watch the game. They have a number of TVs placed throughout the bar, so you’re sure to have a great view of the action no matter where you’re seated.

Druthers Brewing Company – If you’re looking for a more laid-back spot to catch a game, Druthers in Saratoga Springs is the perfect choice. They offer a variety of craft beers brewed in-house, and their outdoor patio is a great place to enjoy a game on a nice day. They also have a large projector screen inside the bar, so you won’t miss a single play.

Bootleggers on Broadway – In the heart of Downtown Troy, Bootleggers is a popular spot for sports fans. They offer a wide selection of beers and a menu filled with classic pub food favorites. Their TVs are strategically placed throughout the restaurant, so no matter where you’re sitting, you’re guaranteed a great view of the game. I’ve watched PLEANTY of football games there and it’s a vibe!
