The temps are warming, the sun is out longer and the kids are anxious to get out and enjoy spring. As it happens, Peebles Island State Park in Cohoes has set aside a day dedicated to outdoor activities for kids.
On Saturday April 15th, the park will be all about kids and kids activities beginning at 9am. Among the things to do:
- Nature walks – including to the vernal pool
- Scavenger hunt
- Spring Crafts
- Workshops on building bluebird houses
All activities are free with no registration required. Kids must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The park reminds attendees to bring your own food and beverages and be prepared for spring conditions – in other words, it will likely be muddy. The event will go on rain or shine.
