Greater Glens Falls Transit (GGFT) is on the lookout for new talent to join their team and help keep the wheels turning on their buses and trolleys. Serving the areas of downtown Glens Falls, Queensbury, Hudson Falls, and Lake George, GGFT is hosting an open house next week to attract prospective employees and showcase their fleet.
On Wednesday, May 10th, the GGFT open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greater Glens Falls Transit center, located at 495 Queensbury Ave. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore GGFT buses and the iconic red trolleys that transport passengers to and from Lake George during the summer season.
GGFT is currently hiring full-time bus drivers, seasonal trolley operators, diesel technicians, and mechanical assistants. Prospective bus operators must already possess a New York State Commercial Driver’s License. On-the-spot interviews will be conducted at the open house, so come prepared to impress.
The increased demand for bus drivers has had a significant impact on Glens Falls’ transit routes in recent months. GGFT route changes were first implemented late in 2022 and again in April, affecting routes between downtown, the Aviation Mall, and the Glen Street Walmart in Queensbury. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to GGFT’s vital service – join them at the open house and explore your potential as a part of their team.
