Floor & Decor, a nationwide retailer renowned for its comprehensive range of hard surface flooring, tools, and accessories, is setting roots in the former Sears space at Colonie Center. The Town of Colonie gave the green light for the final site plans on April 18. Construction Journal reports that construction has already been initiated, with completion slated for approximately six and a half months.

The former Sears venue boasts an impressive 54,760 square feet of space. The proposed refurbishment plans involve a series of modifications including a main entrance vestibule, an enclosed external staircase, and new loading bays. Interestingly, the plan also calls for the demolition of the old garden center, paving way for a drive aisle, accessible parking, and curbside pickup spots.

The Colonie Center is under the ownership of Pacific Retail Capital Partners, yet the former Sears site is held by Seritage, who hasn’t yet commented on the project.

With over 190 stores nationwide, Floor & Decor is set to bring its unique offering to Colonie Center. The store will welcome customers Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering an array of choices for every decor enthusiast.
