In 2012, a devastating car accident tragically claimed the lives of Deanna Rivers and her classmate Chris Stewart. A light seemed to dim, but from this darkness, the Deanna Rivers 518 Memorial Softball Tournament was born. This annual event, now in its 9th year, has since then acted as a beacon, keeping Deanna’s spirit alive and perpetuating her passions.
Crucially, the tournament also raises funds for the Deanna Marie Rivers Foundation. Donations collected during the event are channeled to local organizations focusing on athletics and education, honoring Deanna’s legacy and supporting her favorite causes.
To keep this noble tradition going, we need more players. If you are a high school senior softball player, we invite you to join this meaningful event. Sign up by May 23rd and contribute to making this day as special as Deanna’s spirit.
