In an effort to support Trauma Awareness Month and ensure an adequate blood supply for emergencies, the Aviation Mall is organizing a community blood drive event in collaboration with the American Red Cross. Scheduled for Tuesday, May 23, this event offers an opportunity for individuals to contribute to a life-saving cause while also receiving a special token of appreciation.
From 1-6 p.m. on Tuesday, donors can conveniently visit the mall, located opposite Regal Cinema, to give blood. To streamline the process, appointments can be made either by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or by registering online using the sponsor code AVIATIONMALLNY. By making an appointment, donors can secure their spot and ensure a smooth experience.
The American Red Cross is actively seeking to maintain ample blood supplies in hospitals, catering to various transfusion needs. Trauma cases, which often require immediate blood transfusions, highlight the importance of a robust blood inventory. By participating in this blood drive, individuals can make a tangible difference and potentially save lives in critical situations.
As an exclusive token of gratitude, donors will receive a beach towel as a thank-you gift. This unique incentive adds an extra touch of appreciation for those who selflessly give their blood to help others.
Join the Aviation Mall and the American Red Cross on May 23 to donate blood, support Trauma Awareness Month, and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Your contribution can truly make a difference, so mark your calendar and be a part of this community-driven initiative.
