A road that crews had just finished working on fixing up from a previous flood, has been hit by flooding again.
According to the Rensselaer County Facebook page, Garfield Road (Route 29) in Stephentown suffered more flooding after a dam gave way on Tuesday morning. This had previously happened on July 24th when a beaver dam broke, causing widespread damage to the road. Not even a month later, county crews are in the same situation.
The road remains open with traffic alternating in one late. The highway department is back on the scene, trying to contain and repair as much of the damage as possible.
