That's right, we officially have Arena Football back in The Cap City! The Albany Firebirds have been brought back to life for another go at The MVP Arena. Team officials/owners held a press conference earlier today to make the announcement. I'm pretty positive that you'll recognize a few of the faces involved with the team. Those faces being Mike Kwarta and Jeff Levack.

If you think back to the 90's then you'll know that The Albany Firebirds were a staple in 518. They provided countless memories for thousands of fans week in and week out. They were originally part of the Arena Football League aka The AFL and that's the league that they're going back to. Damon Ware will be their Head Coach and also The General Manager. 

I'm super excited that we have a team back in the area and I'm beyond thrilled that the team that we get to watch will once again be The Albany Firebirds!
