New Strip Makes Solar Panels More Efficient

Engineering scientists at the University of Toledo have developed a new strip that can be added to the base of solar panels can melt snow without requiring any power! Tests in Massachusetts and Japan have found this increases efficiency of the panels by 3.4% to 5.1% respectively, and could help in other places that receive snowfall.
