Christmas at Colonie Center

From 1986, you likely made a stop at Sears during your Christmas shopping. 


Cohoes

A massive clothing store that originated in Cohoes, then moved to Crossgates Mall in 2000. Cohoes was eventually purchased and replaced by Burlington Coat Factory in 2007. 


Rudnick's

Rudnick's was a famous clothing store in Schenectady that opened in 1919. Located on State Street, It featured clothes for men and boys along with custom tailoring for uniforms. It closed for good in 2013. 


World Trade Electronics

Thinking of a color TV or VCR for Christmas? There's a good chance you would get it at World Trade Electronics on Central Avenue in Albany. Especially after Mike Tyson told you to. 


Duane's Toyland

If you were a good boy or girl all year, that Teddy Ruxpin you got for Christmas probably came from Duane's Toyland - which had locations in Amsterdam, Schenectady and Albany.
