The official season starts Thursday
Opening Day is Thursday, July 10, 2025, gates open at 11 a.m., and the first race follows at 1:10 p.m. It’s the start of a four‑day Opening Weekend and a 40‑day meet running through Labor Day.
Tickets & Admission
- General Admission in advance: $7, includes access to the Rivers Casino Backyard, Clubhouse, Grandstand, and trackside apron.
- Reserved seats and season passes are available too.
Arrival & Parking
- Parking is first‑come, first‑served. Arrive early—fans often show up by 7 a.m. to claim picnic tables with tablecloths.
- Gates open at 7 a.m. for early entry, and again at 11 a.m. for the general public.
Coolers & Food
- Coolers (max 12"x18") are allowed, but must stay off seats, tables, and aisles. Allowed areas include the trackside apron, Top of the Stretch, Clubhouse, and backyard picnic zone.
- Contents can include food, plastic bottles, cans, and beer—no glass permitted.
- Bringing your own drinks and snacks is part of the Saratoga tradition, especially in the backyard.
Racing & Races
- Expect stakes like the Coronation Cup on Opening Day, and the Diana Stakes (first Grade 1) on Saturday.
- First post is 1:10 p.m., except Saturdays when it’s 12:35 p.m.
Extras & Amenities
- Taste NY Pavilion returns with local eats and drinks.
- Take advantage of early-morning workouts starting at 7 a.m.
- Dress is casual: hats are popular, no shorts in some zones.
- The track is now cashless—use cards or reverse ATMs onsite.
