Update 10:03pm: Photos shared on Facebook by The Leader Herald show the intensity of the blaze.
Update 9:58pm: Former Gloversville Mayor Dayton King was at the scene and shared the video below on his Facebook page.
Update 9:54pm: The Daily Gazette reports the fire broke out around 7pm and has even spread to homes and businesses nearby, including a car dealership. Witnesses tell the paper they saw explosions in the area.
Update 9:48pm: In another video posted on X, user Shane B. Murphy says the building is the long vacant Fownes Glove Factory.

Update 9:39pm: According to posts on social media, the building is a warehouse located on South Main Street in the city. NewsChannel 13 says the nearby Fulton County SPCA was forced to evacuate all animals due to the blaze.
Crews are battling a massive fire in Gloversville, where a large building is heavily engulfed in flames.
Fulton County Area News confirms in a video posted to their Facebook that the building has collapsed.
