For some reason, Atl Jacob decided to share his opinion on the impact and influence that 2 Pac had on hip hop as a whole. He claims that both Future and Kanye have both had a bigger influence on the music than 2Pac did. His reasoning? Because he's never seen another 2Pac but he's seen 100's of Kanye's. Then he doubled down, saying that Pac was a great rapper but Future has had more influence that 2Pac did.

While I can see where he's coming from, in a way, I think he's WAY off base with his opinion. First off, just because there's never been another 2Pac doesn't mean that he didn't influence other artists. Pac had his own style and personality. His own delivery. His own style. They were things that only 2Pac could do, which is why there's never been another. It's not to say that others haven't tried to do it, they just weren't successful. However, it's well known that a lot of huge acts were influenced by what 2Pac did. To name a few, 50 Cent, DMX and Eminem were all influenced by the late rapper. Not to mention countless amounts of artists that Pac reached and inspired. The fact that nobody has been able to "copy" what he's done is a testament to what or who the man was as an artist. 

Saying that there have been 100's of Kanye's isn't really a great thing. Yes, Ye has influenced a number of younger artists. Yes, Ye has inspired people but to say that there are other's like him isn't really a compliment. 2Pac was around when, if you sounded like someone else then you got clowned. It sparked a beef between the similar artists. Now, people are trying for the same sound as opposed to being different. 

None of what I'm saying is to take anything away from what Kanye or Future has done for the game. They're both highly influential artists and have both created a legacy that is highly admirable. But, in my opinion, ATL Jacob is out of pocked on this one. He's a young dude that might need to do a little bit more digging before he spouts off on social media. Ye and Future have had a huge impact on his generation of artists however, 2Pac is one of the guys that laid the ground work for people like Kanye or Future or anyone else from the younger generation of artists.
