BREAKING NEWS: Beach Boys Founder Brian Wilson has Died

Brian Wilson, the creative force behind The Beach Boys and one of pop music’s most influential figures, has passed away at the age of 82. His family confirmed the news in a Facebook post Wednesday. 

Known for his rich harmonies and groundbreaking studio work, Wilson helped define the California sound of the 1960s. Hits like “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” and “God Only Knows” showcased his songwriting genius and innovative production style.

Despite personal struggles, Wilson’s impact on music never faded. The 1966 album Pet Sounds remains widely regarded as one of the greatest records of all time.

Tributes are pouring in from across the music world, celebrating a man whose melodies touched generations. In Albany and beyond, fans are remembering Wilson not only for his talent—but for the feeling of endless summer his music gave the world.
