It’s been twenty years since the horrific tour boat accident

A remembrance vigil will be held on October 2, 2025, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Ethan Allen tragedy on Lake George, where 20 passengers lost their lives when the small ship overturned in 2005. The ceremony will take place outside the Lake George Historical Courthouse, starting at 2:50 PM, just before the boat sank near Cramer Point. The event will include a moment of silence and the town's clock tower ringing 20 times in memory of each victim. The incident was depicted in the Netflix film "The Laundromat," starring Meryl Streep, which premiered in 2019.
