Steven Brundage just returned from LA.
The raging wildfires in Southern California have forced nearly 200,000 residents to flee their homes, including Steven Brundage, a magician with deep ties to the area.
Brundage, who grew up in the Capital Region and graduated from high school in Schenectady, relocated to Los Angeles after gaining national attention on America’s Got Talent. The wildfires, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions, have engulfed large areas near his home, leaving him among the many evacuees seeking safety. He tells NewsChannel 13:
There's lots of smoke, the sky is pretty black. The sunrises are kind of like an eerie red haze going on.
Now back in the Capital Region, Brundige is reflecting on the harrowing experience of leaving everything behind.
The video below is from a friend of Steven. who helped save a woman and her dogs in the Palisades fire.
