The restaurant at Six Flags was one of only three remaining in New York State
Famous for its old school burgers, shakes, dancing waiters & waitresses and overall retro atmosphere, one of the last Johnny Rockets locations in New York is about to be bulldozed. Located at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark, the restaurant opened its doors at the park back in 2008, but has been closed since September of last year.
Taylor Myers, the Communications Manager for the Great Escape, tells News 10 that the park is working on something new for the Johnny Rockets space.
Given the age and space capabilities of the building and our exciting plans for the future, we have decided to design a new space that better aligns with our property makeup. We look forward to announcing future plans within the next couple of months.
Dining arrangements will move into the hotel space, where the Johnny Rockets menu will continue to be offered for the foreseeable future, while demolition of the restaurant will take place within a few months.
