The waters were raging over the weekend, did these homemade vessels survive?
The 2025 'Anything That Floats' Regatta took place on April 6 in Mechanicville, New York, following the 50th annual Tenandeho White Water Derby. Participants crafted vessels from various materials to navigate a quarter-mile stretch of the Anthony Kill, starting behind O'Reilly Auto Parts and concluding at the Mechanicville City Dock.
The event, organized by the Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, aimed to raise funds for local initiatives. Those on hand got to see some very creative entries, including a fire truck-themed raft by the Hemstreet Fire Department and a team dressed as aliens.
The regatta was part of a day-long celebration featuring a vendor fair, children's games, and the Cast Off Duck Derby. Emergency personnel were on-site to ensure participant safety.
