Major delays in the area of exits 23 and 24
An 18 wheeler flipped over on the northbound on the Thruway Thursday morning. The vehicle is stretched across all three lanes of the northbound stretch between exits 23 and 24 - all lanes are closed. Southbound is impacted as well, with only one lane open.
New York State Police say the area will remain closed for a period of time as they investigate. Detours have been set up - drivers are advised to take 787 as an alternate route.
