Three people were on board
On Wednesday a small plane flying from Baltimore went down on Mount Equinox in Vermont, about 60 miles from Albany. There were 3 people on board and miraculously - not only did they all survive, but only suffered minor injuries.
The owner of the plane, John Murphy was on board with his two kids. He told CBS News his 24 year old son may suffered severe whiplash and needed some staples for an injury to his head. Meanwhile, his 25 year old daughter doesn't have a scratch on her. As for John, he sustained minor whiplash and has one broken bone in his hand.
About 100 first responders struggled to get to the plane, having to trudge through feet of snow on the mountain. Ironically, it may have been the amount of snow that cushioned the crash.
Troopers from the New York State Police and DEC Forest Rangers assisted Vermont rescuers in getting to the victims.
The video below shows one of the crash victims being airlifted from the scene.
